Jason Bruner is married to Rebekah Bruner. They have two children, Jack and Charlotte. Jason graduated from Florida State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in History.
After graduation, Jason joined the Army early in 2010. Upon commissioning from Officer Candidate School at Ft. Benning, GA, Jason attended Engineer Basic Officer Leader Course at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, in 2011. Jason was then assigned to Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA, as an Engineer Officer in the 864th Engineer Battalion. After various leadership positions and a deployment to Afghanistan Jason attended Engineer Captain’s Career Course, again at Ft. Leonard Wood.
Jason was selected to the Army’s Funded Legal Education Program and upon passing the bar he will transition from an Engineer to Judge Advocate. Jason is active in both the Campus Veteran’s Association and the Military Justice Society, as well as serving as an Associate Editor for the Cumberland Law Review.
